Exploitation by local Mahajans in supply of raw material (pulses of poor quality and at higher prices) The process of making Bori involves soaking the pulses over night and grinding them with required ingredients. After grinding the Boris are made by hand and placed for drying in the sun out side the household. However, it is very difficult for drying during monsoon days and winter season. The cluster is surrounded by 39 small water ponds, which are small catchments areas. The serious concern here from both environmental and cluster development point of view is about the pollution and contamination level of water in these ponds. The present practice of packaging and marketing of Bori products is not professionally organized. The environment of the cluster is highly congested and unhygienic for production units Poor credit availability. |
