12 | Major problems/prospects | Custer actors are not moved to high-end market with suitable products like perfumes, fragrances and other diversified products in off-season. Exposure to high end market is negligible and tiny units are having marketing information only of the low end domestic markets. Low productivity and lack of technical support is the hurdle for the cluster and unable to meet market requirements like innovative cosmetic items. Lack of nodal agency support and unable to build the brand image though quality of the product is moderately good. Abound 80% of the artians home based units are dependent on the traders / exporters for job work orders and also designs. Lack of professional design BDS and new design interventions are completely under the control of traders. Product and process technology interventions yet to be reached the artisans of the cluster. |
